ABCN’s immediate response to the COVID-19 pandemic was to support students most at risk of falling behind in their education during the period when students were forced to learn from home.

Student learning from home during Covid quarantine, using Optus donate your data SIM card

Our emergency response was two-pronged:

  1. Partnering with Optus to distribute free SIM cards to hundreds of students who had limited or no access to the internet.
  2. Working with more than a dozen of our member companies to get donated laptops to more than 1,300 students nationwide.

We also piloted new ways of connecting our mentors and students through video exchanges and online career talks. And we are transforming many of our core programs to digital formats.
