Congratulations on winning an ABCN Financial Award!  This guide will help you understand what you can spend the funds on and how to get approval for other expenses. 

What Can You Spend Your Money On

If you want to spend your scholarship money on something not listed above, you need written permission first. This is important to ensure the money is used correctly. 

Approval Questions

When asking for permission, you will be required to send an email to acceleratescholarship@abcn.com.au with your name and answers to the following questions: 

1. What do you want to buy with the scholarship money?
2. How much will it cost and have you researched the best price available?
3. Why is this purchase important for your education and how will you use it for your studies?
4. Have you talked to your mentor or teacher about this purchase, and do they think it is an appropriate use of your scholarship funds?

Steps to Get Approval 

1. Write down your answers to the questions above – remember the more information that you can provide to us the better!
2. Check your answers with your mentor, teacher or a parent. 
3. Submit your request via email acceleratescholarship@abcn.com.au for review. 

Remember! 

Always keep your receipts and documents related to your spending. This will help you track what you’ve used your funds for and can be important for future scholarship applications.
